The Crew's Quarters

Captain Shannon Frazier Shannon has been fishing most of his life. Raised in San Diego, California, Shannon fished out of San Diego on long range fishing boats to Mexican waters for all types of game fish. Living close to Mexico, he trailered his boat to Cabo San Lucus and all of Baja in search of the best fishing he could find.

After moving to Hawaii in 1985, he received a lot of experience fishing off the Big Island. Shannon started fishing off the Waianae coast in 1994 and in early 1997, he started fishing on the "Live Bait" with Captain Dale Simmons. In August 1998, Shannon has purchased the sportfishing business from Dale and is now the owner and operator.

As an angler, Shannon has lots of experience catching fish such as Yellowfin tuna, Wahoo, Spearfish, Mahi Mahi and Marlin. As a Captain he enjoys sharing the excitement of big game fishing with other anglers as they fulfill their dreams.

Nami Nishikawa Frazier With her love for the ocean, Nami Nishikawa received her marine biology degree in 1996 at Tokai University of Marine Science in Japan. She spent last years of college researching the spawning behaviors of corals and rockcods in Okinawa Research Center.

Nami was born and raised in Japan, but has lived in the United States for the last 10 years. Being bilingual, she attained her license for the International Travel Guide in 1997. She is currently working for Live Bait in making reservations, promoting the business, and the other desk works. She also interprets for the any Japanese clients.

Nami loves to meet people from all over the world and enjoys being out in the sea from fishing to diving. Her motto is: Respect the ocean and She will give you back the pleasure of Nature.
